The Origin of the Term 'Tool Doping'

The term was first used in 2023 at the Cycle Show at Alexandra Palace in London during a tyre changing competition organised by LCC (London Cycling Campaign). the challenge was to change an inner tube and inflate the tyre to 60PSI in the fastest possible time. A number of entrants achieved a time of less than 1 minute for the complete change. Rehook Tyre Glider was not to be used in the competition as this was considered 'tool doping' as it gave an unfair advantage over other competitors.
